During the past few years I ripped my CDs using Apple Lossless but I have to adjust my playback volume between songs. I have decided to re-rip my collection to MP3s using exact audio copy and LAME. I was initially going to use MP3Gain to normalize my files but I noticed EAC has a normalize feature. If I use EAC's normalize feature will it effect the quality of the ripped MP3 (I don't want that). I want to maintain my audio quality (320 VBR) and normalize. I also plan to use FLAC for home use and MP3 for mobile.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
I have used EAC with volume normalizing for 320k VBR mp3s for the past couple of years. I've noticed no issues at all with sound quality: it's consistently excellent.
No info on FLAC, however... I don't use it, so I can't help there.
