Hey all, two questions I figured would be right up this section's alley.

Number 1: My GTX 295 GPU (Invidia) can transmit sound over HDMI but only with an extra cable (which I don't have). Can the newer ATI/Invidia GPUs transmit audio over HDMI without the cable required on the 200-series and lesser cards?

Number 2: I'm currently using DVDStyler as a free method of authoring my video DVDs. What would be a much-improved, paid type of software up this ally? I'm not looking for professional, but if it could be multi-threaded that would be great.

Thanks!

#1: Yeah, the 400+ Series are able to transmit audio over HDMI.

#2: All I know of are the Nero and Cyberlink DVD makers.

For #1 I have no constructive advice.

For #2, I used to use Nero 9 for DVD Authoring up until it split the audio and visual into a one minute time lapse. It was then I searched for a ‘free’ version to do the same thing.

DVD Flick and DVD Styler are the two free DVD Authoring programs I have found that work. They may not be fast but they are rock solid.

I use DVD Styler to this day and have a collection of well over 300 DVD’s created with it.

It has been so trust worthy, I think my next investment will be in a LightScribe burner!
