There is absolutely no difference between a no-name $3 HDMI cable you can order from Amazon.com and a $120 Monster cable you buy at a brick-and-mortar electronics store.

Most of the time I'd agree with you, but there's a local store that "makes their own cables" and I don't trust them one bit. :P

Of course not, HDMI is digital. Only analog signals have signal quality be affected by resistance, etc.
