Anyone have any suggestions for transferring VHS video tapes to computer (for preservation purposes)? I've got some home movies from way back when that I'd like to transfer to the computer before anything could happen to them.

I know i can't get DVD quality, but I want to at least be able to preserve the good VHS/SD quality that they are in now. I'd prefer a USB device (just so I can use it with any machine, but will get a PCI-E card if it will produce a better quality picture/sound).

Suggestions?

I'm running modern hardware (quad core, 4GB of RAM, Win7-64 bit Pro etc).

I use a Pinnacle Studio MovieBox HD and yet to have a hiccup.
