Maximum PC

I’m trying to take advantage of Xfinity and Hulu by watching rerun TV Series on my PC. However my browser or Adobe player crashes. I removed all adobe stuff and what I could of Internet Explorer, then reloaded everything fresh with even worst results. When I start the video from Hulu, IE just crashes, restarts and does it again and again...
I installed Firefox and add-ons to get something almost acceptable. Crashes only 2 or 3 times in a hour episode, the sound is bad and the picture is jerky.

My OS is XP64 with all of the SPs up to date. Explorer is the 64 bit version also. Speedtest shows 21.47Mbps download speed.

What should I get or do to get a satisfactory streaming TV series (besides convert to Windows 7)?

Use the 32-bit browsers and 32-bit flash players, a lot more stable.
