Maximum PC

I'd been using DVDFlick for a couple of years because it worked great. The latest/last available update, though, had issues with .flv (Flash) files, so I went back one version. But after I had to reformat and reinstall XP and all my apps last week, I now get audio sync problems with it. I may be looking for a new transcoder package myself.

Update: Since I went back to overclocking by 10% (Athlon 64 X2 4200+ bumped from 2.2GHz to 2.42GHz) I've had no more sync issues.

I’m not sure if I’ll be able to help because I am a novice in this arena, but I did a search for ‘Transcoding Software’ to get an idea of what you may be looking for.

Can I assume you are trying to render one video/audio format into another? I.E.: .flv to mp4, .mpg to .mov, .wmv to .avi, or any other combination?

If so, I use Format Factory. A free utility that will reformat pretty much any media file into just about any other… flawlessly!

I’ve been using it for about a year and it has made my life much easier since I use both Windows Movie Maker and Sony’s ‘Movie Studio’. With Windows XP, both seem to have their own likes and dislikes concerning file types.
