Hey guys,

I just set up some Logitech Z506 5.1 Speakers for my dads computer and plugged them in, and set them up for the surround sound config I wanted them in windows and opened up iTunes.
Unfortunately only 3 out of 5 speakers work. The other 2 are playing a very quiet chopped/screwed version of the song. The subwoofer is working also though.
When I move the speaker inputs (going from the speakers to the subwoofer where they all go in) around (like instead of RearL going to the RL plug i put it into the RearR place) it changes which speakers are play at the correct volume.
The sound card is the weird creative extender made for the Asus Maximum MoBo, The Creative SupremeFX.

Let me know what you guys think is the problem.

Thanks,
510

Does the card have it's own creative software and drivers that you can make adjustments in, or are all these adjustments being made in windows? It be nice to have Creative Console and Volume Panel available, but not sure what Asus or Creative gives for those cards. I had these experiences after updating drivers and software for an X-fi platinum.

And just for reference, you should probably be plugged into the card with the bottom jack open/Green/Black/Orange/top jack open.

Yeah the card does have its own suite of software, but only one of the applications recognizes the card which is really strange.
And the Green/Black/Orange is how it looks.

Kinda weird problem. Is it b/c of the sound card being weak? Because since the all the speakers work at some point im guessing its a problem on the sound card end...

Just to rule out the obvious, but did you change the speaker config in the control panel?
