Maximum PC

The MM-1 speakers were used in the 2011 Dream Machine, which are intended as PC speakers. I'm curious as to why the Bowers and Wilkins Diamond 800 speakers weren't used. There's also a pricier subwoofer than the spherical one used. Yes, they are like $4500 for two, and yes, they are meant for recording studios, but wouldn't the audio quality still be better than $500 speakers? Also, I wonder if MPC has pictures of the wiring maze used to acquire 7.1 surround on DM2011. Is there going to be a contest to win the rig like there was last year?
