Is there any difference in audio quality between different types of wiring systems? It's definitely easier to have a cable that you can strip and cut and replace if it gets broken. You can't do that with USB speakers. Can you do it with RCA cables? I don't think speakers should get a 10 verdict unless you have that flexibility. I also wonder if MaximumPC will ever do an article on professional rather than consumer level studio monitors. Are there any magazines that do the same kind of evaluation of professional equipment that MPC does with consumer products?

Why can't someone splice USB? You CAN splice USB just as well as you can RCA or some other more pertinent connection.

MPC will never, and should never, give a 10 based on someone wanting to modify an 8th grade electronics class cord....and make it easy. It's USB you soldering iron holding freak!

The speakers they've given 10's to are great. They've been engineered very well and have the perfect amount of cord. If you want to add more, than you're the judge and are taking 2.0's out of their element. When you want to move the placement out of perfection, then...it's your call, not MPC's. And you've missed a couple years. They've done notjhing but studios.

Here, If I based my opinion on re-wiring...it's a mess bro.
