Just out of curiosity, has anyone actually recieved their rebate from MSI?

I ordered their overclocked GTX260 on 5/1, recieved it shortly thereafter, filed the necessary paperwork - and I'm still waiting.

This exact same process was duplicated for my ASUS monitor that I ordered one week later. I recieved my $20 prepaid card from ASUS yesterday.

MSI rebate = myth?

Wait 6 months at the least.

I bought some Mushkin RAM last year in July. I got the check for the rebate in February or March.

yep. I've never gotten a rebate in less then 5 months.

It once took over a year to get a rebate from PNY for some memory! :lol:

Seriously that is why I never factor in rebates, when buying anything. I make salemen aware of that fact too. All I want to know is how much is it going to cost me to walk out the door with it.

My advice if you want a rebate you can count on, buy a car, they give you the rebate before hand. :wink:
