I recently made a purchase from
www.Func.net for two mouse pads on January 17, 2009: a custom Surface1030 Archetype, and a Func F-Series (F-10S-L). Total cost including shipping came to nearly $60.00 dollars. Call me a boob for spending that much on mouse pads, but having exclusively used Func pads in the past, I can attest to their quality and durability. Except this time.
The Surface 1030 Archetype pad I ordered was a custom order mouse pad; I ordered it with a logo on the bottom right corner of the pad. However, when I received the mouse pad, the logo was totally crooked and sloppy looking.
The Func F-Series (F-10S-L) pad I ordered and received was used. The mouse pad showed obvious signs of use/abuse on its surface as well as some scratching and scuffing on the pad itself. It basically looks as though someone used sandpaper to "buff" out the rough spots on the pad.
I have contacted Func twice in the past month and a half via e-mail (
support@func.net) about my order, but have been ignored. They do not list a phone number on their site so I cannot call them directly. I am extremely dissapointed with the products they sent me, and apalled with their (lack of) customer service.
In any event, this is most likely the last time I buy a Func product. I know that MaximumPC has endorsed Func mouse pads before in the past, but I strongly urge against anyone thinking about a Func pad from buying one.
