Ive been playing World of Warcraft since it came out. My server got overpopulated and was offered a free server transfer that blizzard stated would be a better gaming expierence. I did some research about the destination server and only problem was low population. My guild figured with 3 other server being merged into that one it would be no problem. After close to a year the server still lacks a descent population to the point I have abandoned characters I have played for years. Blizzard wants $225 now to transfer my guys back! My entire guild has since paid for the transfers back and from people I have talked to on the server before I stopped playing on said they had plans to pay for a transfer off as well. I have emailed and chatted with blizzard and WoW GMs with no cooperation whatsoever. It seems as long as people have no problem paying more then it costs to play the game for 6 months they are not going to fix the situation. I refuse to be blackmailed by blizzard, especially since I have been a loyal customer for so long.

Welcome to the world of online MMO's. Perhaps next time you should fully read the TOS and the fine print. This situation isn't uncommon AT ALL in any online MMO, and I'm willing to bet it's spelled out in the TOS.

1. Blizzard did not pressure you into transferring.
2. They did not hide the data (server populations)
3. They did not make any promises as to how it'll grow.
4. You knew that rethinking later will cost you.

If it was guild decision to move, your beef should be with those in charge in the guild.
