After the debacle with VooDoo, I was rather hesitant to order another high end (10K+) machine from anywhere.

Well, Digital Storm (www.digitalstormonline.com) to the rescue!! THIS is one mofo of a machine that I ordered (specs later), a great price (under 11K) and the best customer service and consulting I have EVER encountered!

Kisses to Kelly, he is the best! Oh and I might possibly have this machine within 15 days!!!!

Be sure and see the website, check out Digital Storm for some \m/ and righteous service.

Holy SH&T man if you spend that much on a machine it better come with a moon lander. I cannot see any foreseeable reason to pay that much for a pc, but if you have the money more power to ya. I could not even build a computer that expensive on their website.

Do you work for them?

So you are recommending them to the forum, yet, you don't even have a computer in hand? Never mind the fact, that you don't have a functional working computer that you can vow for from this company?

No reviews, no personal experience, for all you know you could get the computer delivered, and only the lights would turn on, get horrible customer service telling you it would be WEEKS before anything was done, and so-on....thats never happened before, right?

I have to disagree with recommending a computer company based on a few phone calls back and forth.

For 11K, I would also like to see the specs?

For 11K it had better come with hookers.

I find myself wondering just what a 11k computer has in it.

i looked at the prices, it actually isn't that bad, of course you can build it for cheaper, but much cheaper than the other stores where is like $2000 for a computer with 2 8500GTs in SLI. At $2000 you can get a system with:

Antec 900
Q9450
780i
9800GTX
2GB DDR2 800MHz
750 Watt Corsair PSU
320GB HDD
Vista Home Premium
Keyboard and Mouse
3 Year Warranty
Life time free updgrade
72 Hour stress test

way better value than what you will find at dell.

I bought a computer from DigitalStorm a couple months ago. Very happy with my system.

HOWEVER.....do not expect to have your computer in 15 days. Think closer to a month. Worth the wait though.

system specs?

Sorry for the delay all. Here comes specs:

System Configuration:
Chassis: Cooler Master Cosmos S Edition
Power Supply: 1200W PC Power & Cooling (ESA Edition) (Dual/Triple/Quad SLI Compatible)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad QX9770 Extreme 3.20GHz (1600MHz FSB) (12MB Cache)
Motherboard: nVidia 790i Ultra Core 2 Quad (nForce 790i Ultra SLI) (DDR3 Only)
System Memory: 4GB DDR3 Corsair at 1800MHz Dominator DHX (Extreme-Performance)
Hard Drive 1: 300GB Western Digital VelociRaptor (10K RPM) (16MB Cache) (Extreme Speed)
Hard Drive 2: 300GB Western Digital VelociRaptor (10K RPM) (16MB Cache) (Extreme Speed)
Hard Drive 3: 1TB Western Digital (7200 RPM) (16MB Cache) (SATA) (Extreme Speed)
Optical Drive 1: DVD±R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 20x / CD-Writer 48x) (LightScribe Edition)
Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections)
Video Card(s): 3x SLI Triple (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 1GB-HydroCopper 16)
Sound Card: Razer Barracuda AC-1 (Recommended)
Extreme Cooling: Liquid Chilled FrostBite Dual Loop System for CPU & Triple SLI
Internal Lighting: Blizzard Internal Lighting (Red Edition) (Cold Cathode Tubes)
Modifications: NVIDIA Enthusiast System Architecture (ESA) System (Install, Test, Optimize Computer)
Windows OS: Dual Boot (Windows XP Professional & Windows Vista Ultimate (64-Bit Edition)
Keyboard: Razer Lycosa Gaming Keyboard
Mouse: Razer Lachesis Gaming Mouse (High-Speed Gaming Grade)

Now to be fair, I bought the vdo cards meself from EVGA and shipped them to DigitalStorm because at the time, they could not get them. They were kind enough to go with that, so I brought the cost of the machine from them sans cards down to 7381.00. The cards cost me 2462.47, so total cost of machine was 10,294.47 USD.
I am awaiting shipment of the rig, one of the vdo cards had to have the water block swapped out for a Danger Den thinner water block. Seems all three will not fit side by side on the mobo otherwise. A small tradeoff in my estimation.

I still stand by my earlier posting, great service, wonderful ppl! And now that they went that extra mile to get this machine exactly as I wanted it, they are the best!

P.S. I am female to whomever thinks I, sir, have too much money.

You can't have too much money, but you have proven that it is easy to have too little sense. Pun intended.

I just dont see the logic in spending over half of what my first car cost on something that will be worth %50 of what you paid for it 6 months from now and will be outperformed by systems that cost less. To me that is someone who has more money than they know what to do with. Sure if you're doing serious graphics work a 10k workstation wouldn't be to unreasonable, but just going by the specs alone this thing looks like a benchmark killer. Dont get me wrong that system looks amazing, and if Stanford ever gets around to adding multiple GPU support to the GPU2 client that thing would be a serious folding rig. I dont want to think of the amount of heat that things gonna generate either, i hope you have a good air conditioning system for whatever room that beast is going to be occupying
