I have used this site for picture hosting for years now. i had one glitch a couple years ago where they double billed, but they told me about it before i even saw it on the credit card. So I assumed they made an honest mistake.

Recently i got charged 5 times on the same day for the same amount with no explination. A response from the owner Greg Deeter said he wouldlook into it. i have heard nothing from him in that month.

I went to check the website and all the links except accessing your pictures seem to be broken. This would be a bigger issue if there had actually been a link to anywhere that allowed you to cancel your account which there wasn't. According to the TOS I have seen posted in many places, since it is inaccesible from the site, if you have your credit card company stop payment, they will file a police report which they have claimed to have done 400 times. They also claim they will add additional charges of 59 dollars. It seems they use a different company name to get around the blocks.

A web search on this company recently showed a lot of issues during the last half of last year. Just the fact this person has my credit card information is making me very wary at this point.

I would like to give this company the benefit of the doubt and just cancel the account, but i can see no esy way to do that.

I just checked this month, and after directly e-mailing the owner of this company that I wish to cancel my account, he has stopped replying to me and double charged me for this quarter.

The main thing I am trying to do here is warn other people about this company. I did a search and see many people with the same kind of issues with this company. If you reverse or block the charges they threaten legal action.

I do have one response from him saying he is going to lookinto it and get back to me shortly, that was months ago and he has not replied at all.

Even with reversing the charges I see no end to this scam this person is perpetrating.

If you have kept records of all that has transpired, I would look into canceling your current credit card and getting a new one "with a different number". That would stop the billing and your records of everything that has happened will nullify the threat of any "legal action".

You should reverse the charges. If you know the company has ignored you and kept charging you are protected under the Fair Credit Billing Act. Here is the official information on that act.

They can't touch you if you have records and you have contacted them.

Their "threatening legal action" is a scare tactic by them.

As hackman points out, threatening legal action is a scare tactic on their part.

It is a scare tactic, and only that, because they haven't a legal leg to stand on ... they are bullies with no backup.

You, on the other hand, do have backup. The law is your friend: http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/

Internet crime is defined as any illegal activity involving one or more components of the Internet, such as websites, chat rooms, and/or email. Internet crime involves the use of the Internet to communicate false or fraudulent representations to consumers. These crimes may include, but are not limited to, advance-fee schemes, non-delivery of goods or services, computer hacking, or employment/business opportunity schemes.

Reverse all the charges on your CC that don't belong there and file a report using the previous link with the FBI. Don't bother threatening them with legal action .. just get the ball rolling and you'll have this resolved about 5 minutes after the cops get in touch with the business owner.
