 Post subject: Interesting NewEgg "issue".......

Ok... so I ordered a Lian-Li PC60 case for my first computer build.... ordered it on Tuesday, package came today. Now, my issue is that NewEgg has apparently sent me TWO of these cases.... instead of the ONE that I purchased. I have reviewed my invoice and my package tracking, and I don't beleive I was charged twice nor does it appear I will not receive my other expected packages. So... what would you do... and does this happen often?

Never have had them send me two cases, but hey if they send you the rest of your order you should be happy, free case.

I did have them tell me to keep an damaged case that I RMA'd.

Well, the rest of my parts came with no hitch. I did indeed receive an extra case, and was not charged for it. I am thinking about giving it to my dad for a PC build he is planning in the near future. Its really a pretty fat case to be getting for free... will be building my PC this weekend, I'll let you guys know how it goes and post a pic of the finished system.

Sweet deal, though I almost feel bad for Newegg...they're a great company.

As for the case, I have the same and love it. Good score.

I'd personally let them know. I highly doubt they'd ask you to return the case as it would cost you (the customer) money to do so, which is a bit unrealistic. I think they'd just appreciate the honest feedback and put a good lil' note on your account information for reference on any other purchases in the future.

(I've worked at a company where this was the case; notes on customer feedback, either positive, honest, negative, etc. was kept and sometimes dictated future calls and treatment from company representatives.)

Don't feel bad - we just all really like newegg heh..
Besides - check out the following:

Back in the day - I needed an external zip drive for some work I was doing...
I ordered one from NewEgg cause it came with a free case.

Well I got the drive, but no case.
I called em - and the next day - boom I get a package. inside is a new drive and a case.
I call em and say hey guys - I appreciate it and all - but you send me another drive as well as a case - I just needed the case - how do I get the extra drive back to you?

They told me not to worry about it- that it was their mistake and they appreciated my honesty on the situation.

about 4 business days later I got another package.
What was it? another case for the "extra" zip drive LOL

I called them again and told them about it - and they told me that it was sent out because I called in :)

I buy almost everything from NewEgg to this day for that :)

You should feel bad (here's the mother in me talking). Your trying to rip them off for $100, little over with shipping. Now, I know it isn't your fault, but I like my Newegg prices to stay low. Being dishonest will add to the prices being raised. Newegg will most likely let you keep the case, you can at least try to be honest & try to return it. How can you give your dad a case in this situation? Didn't he teach you that stealing is wrong?

hmm, can you sleep tonight? Will you be able to sleep if you give it to him without trying to return it 1st?
