I chose $250-600, but I may have spent more.

I started off the year with:
Lite-On DVD-ROM (16x) $30
Lite-On CD-RW (52x) $30
fx5200XT vid card: $60
Some audio card to replace my fried Soundstorm on the NV7-133R: $30
Total: $150

Then in May I had a big upgrade:
AMD Barton 2500+: $80
NF7-S Mobo: $70
512mb Mushkin DDR400 $80
Liton 8x DVD+/-RW $90
And some new software for the DVD+/-RW: 90
Total: $410

Then I changed out the case:
Case: $40 with shipping
Fans, cables, etc.: $20
Total: $60

Then more recently I swapped out the vid card:
fx5900XT $170

And somewhere along the line I've bought a lot of miscelanious stuff:
Verbatim DVD-Rs, Maxwell DVD-Rs, Verbatim DVD-RWs, Ridata DVD-Rs, Ridata CD-Rs: ~$150
Lots of cases: ~$30
AS5: $5
So, figure about $190

Then just recently I bought some more RAM:
Corsair DDR400 512mb CAS 2.5 $80

So, the grand total is: $1210!

Hmm, can I change my vote?

Not sure exactly how much I have spent, but two computers, one mp3 player, and some other stuff that I can't remember add up to around $2500 in the last seven months.

Newegg keeps track of your purchases back to the very first one you made. just log in and go to Order Status and then click on the link to see past invoices.

Whoops, forgot about that. Turns out I have only spent about $1900 at newegg. The other $600 came from Amazon.com and zipzoomfly.com.

I can get deals in the same price range as newegg from local stores ... once I factor in exchange rate and customs (newegg is US-based; I'm in Canada).

So ... :P

That is possible ... I've never even tried to order from them.

I place two orders in September, $1,647.27 total. Yesterday I bought 1GB(2x512) from ZipZoomFly though, because newegg didn't match their price, I saved $20. I remember when they had free shipping on everything but now they are starting to charge shipping on everything, zipzoomfly always has free shipping, 2nd day but actually it doesn't come on the second day but third or fourth, but I rather save $20. I am thinking in start switching all my orders to zipzoomfly now.

Well, I have to quote myself on this one. I did receive the RAM today, as promised 2nd day fedex delivered it. Newegg, watch out, keep your prices going up and up and soon zipzoomfly will take over.
I've spent a couple of G's at zipzoonfly in the past too when it used to be googlegear, and not a single problem I have ever had.

I dunno man, I've seen my fair share of people complaining of slow shipping, as well as experiencing somewhat slow shipping myself. They've had pretty good service (IME), but haven't always been the fastest.

Given the consistent quality of your help on these forums, Blondie, maybe you should look for work in a tech support role. :D

Currently waiting on the arrival of my new system. I'll be busy building it next week. This is my 1st attempt at building. It's going to be an interesting week. :D

How come newegg charges more than retail stores for a 6800 GT card?, in some cases.

With the purchase of my 6800 GT I broke the $8000 mark with Newegg for the last 6 months (according to my accounting system). Overall they are good, but lately they have been having issues with one of their warehouse delaying shipments.
