Thumbs way up: PC Power & Cooling. I ordered a 510 SLI from them, for $30 less than what Newegg was charging. And, here's the fun part..after unwrapping the maze of 15 connecters, screwing it into the case, and hooking up everything:It fired up on the first try. WOOHOO!!

(Newegg's price,with slower,and more expensive UPS shipping,was $240).
Direct from PC P &C,it came out to $210 shipped with 2 day Fedex shipping..

Yeah PC Power & Cooling is the best there is - and its just a bonus for the pricing -

Congrats on the purchase - now your PSU will be one thing you'll never have to worry about again

I gotta go with a thumbs down for Newegg this time, they really screwed up my package and took their time replacing it and refunding me the money, but then they kept $100 sayiing that it was due to market fluctuation. But, we're back on speaking terms, and they're slowly getting their thumbs up.

Way thumbs up however, goes to FrozenCPU.com. Excellent service, awesome shipping prices (unlike Newegg), and fast service! Great Job Mark!

Thumbs up to Thermaltake. I'm a brand-new owner of a Thermaltake CL-P0200 heatsink. Not only was it a amazing deal,at $35 shipped off Newegg..but it installed using the stock mounting bracket, and simply snapped into place. When I first booted my PC up with the new HSF in place..I thought the fan wasn't plugged in!!! (it's quiet..) It's a hidden gem.
(How about 106F, as reported by Everest Home Edition..while encoding a 3 hour MPEG2 recording of the movie Top Gun,using Pinnacle Studio 9!!!)

Thumbs down (way down) for UPS. I ordered a new Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick on my birthday,July 29(Saturday). I expected it to arrive by the 4th. The 4th rolls around...Still no joystick. August 9 arrives(today)..FINALLY,they're delivering it.  I know I ordered using their slowest shipping, but this is crazy.

I ordered Flatout 2 (PC version) off Amazon.com on August 8. (3 day UPS select shipping).. Today rolls around,I check my amazon.com tracking page.
To my shock (and delight) I see this:

http://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/processRequest

Going from Louisville,KY to Portland,OR overnight... (8-10-06 @8:50 PM ..in Louisville,KY..8-11-06 @7:20 AM..in Portland,OR and out for delivery).
I'm speechless. :D :)

Thumbs up for HP. They struggled for a while but the engineering of their products for the last 3 years or so has been great and they're clearly recovering their market share.

Link to relevant HP/Dell market summary

I still think axing Carly Fiorina was a dumb move. She put them on the vector to bring them where they are today. They thanked her by using her as a scapegoat to appease their board.

Thumbs up: Pinnacle. I reinstalled Pinnacle Studio 9.4 on my PC after I had reinstalled Windows XP Professional on my new hard drive. It asked me for a new MPEG2 activation code..my old code wouldn't work. One simple email to Pinnacle customer support with my orginal proof of purchase..and they sent me a new MPEG2 unlock code for free. :D
