For bundling the POS buggy Roxio easy CD creator software with their drives. The only thing this crappy software is good for is seeing what the XP BSOD looks like. The drive is awesome, but the bundled software sucks. They don't offer any support or upgrades unless you have the "platinum" version. I ended up buying Nero OEM online, Nero let me update all the way up to the newest revision without making me buy their "platinum" suite. My drive is the PX708-A, a KickAss award winner, hopefully the newer drives come bundled with Nero instead of the lame duck Roxio garbage.

Which brings up and interesting question.

If folks who get Roxio lite think it sucks so bad that they buy Nero, and folks who get Nero lite think it sucks so bad they buy Roxio, why are these guys bundling anything at all?

They should just give you a coupon for a discounted full version or a crippleware version you can pay to fully enable with a license#

There's some Nero software which comes with some drives and it bites the big one. There's also some Nero programs which come with drives and it rocks.

You probably got the sucky one

I had the good version originally, and when I got a new drive it came with some Nero software. I threw that CD out because it was really kind of bad, and I continue to use the other program I have... the actual Nero Burning ROM (I can't remember the name of the other program which comes bundled with some drives).

nero express.....BTW i do use Roxio....not because of my bad experience with the cheep-o bundeled nero program....roxio is what i know how to use

BTW my burn time for 700MB went from 5 minutes with the cheep-o nero express to aroud 3 with easy CD creator 6, i have never used a full version of Nero i hope this is not standered fair

Yes, Nero Express! I find it's significantly slower and not as good as Nero Burning ROM
