Hope the dog comes through if Soyo doesn't.

Well whattayaknow, if you get really really nasty, you get a response to e-mail.

Finally heard from arielb@mail.fiasj.net. Just the usual BS about not having any record.

If service really is their lifeblood, then I begin to see why they are withering and dying with their attitude.

Nice of them to give me a fax number. Now I'm going to be mean and start spamming them.

SOYO has contracted a new rebate company. We have a special customer care unit that has been responding quickly. You can e-mail soyo@verifyrebate.com.

We are sorry if you had not received your rebate checks, please try the e-mail above. If everthing is there, you should receive a check within 2 weeks.

I have sent an email to that address explaining the situation. We shall see what comes of it.

At the risk of making myself extremely angry, I e-mailed them once more as well. But I'm also going to sharpen my knife, just in case...

Well, it's been over 24 hours since I emailed them and I have yet to hear back, let alone from "a special customer care unit that has been responding quickly."

As expected, I'm getting more of the runaround. When I sent my email inquiry, I mistyped one of the dates so I immediately sent a followup email to let them know of the error. BOTH emails received an automated, BS response from rodolff@verifyrebate.com. The responses said:
    Dear valued Customer:

Thank you for your recent submission of your rebate request.

According to our record, we did not receive your rebate request. If you
believe your mail was lost or misdirected, please contact your mail carrier
directly. According to the rebate program’s terms and
conditions “manufacturers are not responsible for the lost or misdirected
mail”. If you would like to dispute your rebate, please mail your missing
documents along with this letter to:

    Special Care Customer Services Dept
    1042 N. Mountain Ave #B 291
    Upland CA 91786

We would like to thank you again for your inquiry and patience

Keep in mind that I have proof of delivery and included my USPS tracking number in the email. My tracking number is 0303 2460 0002 9132 6960 and USPS shows that my documents were received by Soyo on September 15, 2004. I really wish the Dog would get involved on this one, as it doesn't get any more blatant.

That is the exact email I received after sending my initial email. And the email i sent them was very basic and included the name and address, lol. Maybe if they took to the time to read the emails instead of using these lame ass form letters to give us the run around....

I got the same letter One4 posted above. I'm pretty sure I'm toast for this rebate, but I e-mailed the Dog about this. Maybe he can dig something up for the rest of you.

They probably want a few more copies of the UPC :P

It's funny 'cause I was in Future Shop a few weeks back and I heard a guy arguing with an employee about mail in rebates.. the poor customer couldn't figure out how to mail 1 original receipt to 2 different places, and also keep his original receipt for warranty purposes. The FS guy insisted this is what he had to do to get his rebates...

I'm glad I build my own systems :)

I think its BS that they mailed it but I will post and let everyone know the outcome. I think they will use an excuse like, it was lost in transit to you and your SOL.
But we will see.
