I have used pinnacle in the past as a video editing software. I started using it for producing DVD's for weddings and that is when thing went down hill. It says it has one all these awards, but all I got was error after error. I would email tech support at http://www.pinnaclesys.com
but it is like pulling teeth trying to get a response that applied to my situation (it would take around 3-4 emails that took atleast 24 hours for each one before they would even address my situation).
I finally logged onto the user forum and there I saw it... work around after work around. How do they sell beta software and get away with it. That is like selling a new car that doesn't work and week after week mechanics keep coming up with new ways to fix it but the company never admits their car doesn't work right.
There is forum after forum of work arounds and frustrated users. I wish that I would have read their user forum before buying the software. I now use Sony Vegas and DVD architect for my editing and authoring needs. I have yet to encounter any problems.
I wish I knew how to start a class action lawsuite against Pinnacle because their lower end software is filled with bugs.
Anybody have any suggestions as to a way that this can be brought out into the light? I felt very ripped off by them as their product was unstable and cost me time and money sorting through all the customer made work arounds. They would come out with patches and they would fix a problem but cause 3 or 4 more.
