Just use their online RMA form. I did this last year on a router that died in a lightning storm and the replacement was quick/painless.

It's quite normal to be frustrated when the person who's suppost to assist you can't understand you, and it's even worse when you can't understand them, but don't blame the Indians. Blame the past two 'Merican presidents.

i had a gaming adapter that didn't work. i called their customer support, and after a 5 min hold, and an american picked up. i told them my problem, and they couldn't fix it. they sent me another one , and i didn't have to return the other one.

it turns out that i didn't set it up right in the first place (it wasn't plug and play)

i was very happy with their customer service.

Funny I don't remember them passing a law that says you must move your Tech support out of country.

Linksys is on my list of all-time-worst customer support as well.

When I first made the jump to wireless, I didn't know that much about it. I knew I wanted the then new WPA encryption because WEP was considered weak even back then.

So I choose the Linksys equipment because it stated it supported WPA.

After around 3hrs and 3 phone calls to Linksys, I find out from someone else that WPA doesn't work on WindowsME unless you install third party software.

You would think the support people would have known that and saved me 3hrs of aggrivation.

I'd rather install RealPlayer on my system then call up Linksys's shitty Tech Support.

I needed a new pcmcia jewel case for my WPC55AG card and they couldn't friggin help me at all. Spent 20 minutes trying to explain the part I needed and the guy didn't know what I was talking about. He was constantly like "Call the place you bought it from", "Call your service provider", I was like, "No, I need to buy it from Linksys, no one else is going to sell this part".

Called their sales line later after I cooled off and was immediately hooked up by someone who was definitely American who was able to sell me a new one for $6.

I lost my job just like this. Now some asshole with a flow chart has my job for like 10 bucks a day.

Do they not know people are pissed at the craptastic support or that people have a hard time understanding them?

To be fair they may have good techs but jeez..

Also if any of you guys ever worked tech support you would know that techs are the worst.

I think some of them do it just to get back at us.
