Fuck Best Buy.

Fuck them hard.

What a blatant violation of civil rights.

Sorry if the swearing offends you more than the incident described in the article.

Jesus tap dancing Christ. What the FUCK does paying with LEGAL $2. bills have to do with terrorists crashing jets into a pair of towers? Not a goddamn thing. I'm sick and tired of hearing assholes bring that shit up when they fuck up.

How goddamn hard would it have been for the police/secret service to call the bank and confirm?

Whats that smell? OH its the lawsuit that could be brought up on Best Buy and the Police. If I was that guy I would sue em in a heart beat. What kind of dips*** didnt know they made 2 dollar bills still. You cant find em very much out in public but if you go to a bank and ask for 2 $2 bills 9 times out of 10 they will be sequential. 2's are not distributed like say 1's 5's, and 10's. Money HAS to be distributed to get out of sequence. My girlfriend works for a bank and all the money they get from the federal reserve that is new be it 1's or 100's were in sequence. Some of morons in thsi world today makes me sad

Go here. Type in the name of the website requiring registration (In this case, www.baltimoresun.com ) and it should give you a username and password to login. No registration required. :)

I really dislike people somtimes. There are times that i choose to stay at home instead of going out inorder to avoid idiots. I have an IT job and i bartend on the side for extra cash. You would not believe how many STUPID people their are. I think he should sue the hell out of everyone involved. Now i am not saying he should sue for big money, he should sue to prove a point. Arrrggg, this kind of stuff really chaps my ass.

Money Fun Fact: If you incur a debt* and the debtee refuses your payment of legal funds** with no prior notice*** than the debt is considered paid in full.

*e.g. you have already used/consumed the product/service: filled up your gas tank, ate a meal, etc. This wouldn't apply if you picked up a video card and were denied at checkout because the store still owns the card and you haven't incurred a debt.

**This would usually apply to obscure but legal monies such as $2 or Susan B Anthony

***e.g. a sign at a gas station stating they don't accept $20, $50 or $100 bills.

Wow... I'll have to do a search on state law about using pennies for payment. I know for a fact that Best Buy does not have any posted notices for payment with pennies (or the lack of ability thereof).

Walk in with an old system. Take it to the tech system counter. Have them diagnose it, then pay in pennies. <G> Of course, I'll have to make sure and load it up with all sorts of spyware and virii first. <G>

It would appear that the article in question is now gone to archives..

I've got a couple of the two dollar bills myself..Wonder if the local Stop and Rob would accept them? I may try that tomorrow..

Be cool..

I think it would be better if you filled the case with the pennies you planned to pay with first.

That way, the first guy to open it feels like he just hit the slots in Vegas.

That is absolutely a classic...

Tops the 'styrofoam in a can' prank we did to a guy at work with his PC before it was trashed.... God he was pissed. We go the whole tower sealed up good and when he opened it we had sculpted 'happy trails' in the foam..

But Pennies now I have a use for that barrel o fun in the garage...
