I ordered a 1GB kit of the new OCZ VX line of PC4000 memory from Monarch Computer systems late Sunday night. I opted for 2nd day delivery, as not having compatible memory is keeping me from using my new A64 system.
Today, I emailed them, since I still hadn't recieved a tracking number or any update on my order status. (It should have been arriving today)

They replied that my memory was out of stock, and wouldn't be in until the 12th. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE  :!:

I am so pissed off at these clowns that they list a hard to find item as in stock on their website to get people's orders, then people have to wait for more than an extra week to get their order, since they didn't have it on hand to sell in the first place. I'm going to make a big stink about this, they had better overnight my order for free, at the least, when it comes in.

Guess that's what happens when you order from a second rate company. Newegg was out of stock, but at least they had the integrity to tell people that it was out of stock.

I know I'm ranting, but GOD DAMMIT I'M PISSED OFF!

FWIW, they've apparently since updated. Instead of 'in stock,' it now shows as an ETA of April 12 and taking orders on a first come, first serve basis.

If any other retailer had this memory, I'd demand a refund, and order it there. Looks like this stuff is in short supply and high demand.
Oh well, at least I got my order in before they jacked their price up, it went up $43 for a dual channel 1GB kit since Sunday

I had the same thing happen to me. But it was with a video card. One of my oldies 9600XT,I ordered and they said it was in stock but as you said I waited and I never got it then find out that it was out of stock. I think they need to update their site a little more often so they dont suck people into their traps.
