So, way (way, way..) back in December, being about 3 days after Christmas, I email Asus tech support to try and get some issues resolved with my aging A7V133 board. It wasn't a major issue and its an old board so I didn't exactly expect speedy service... Which is good because it wasn't required at the time. Well, on Feb. 2nd I got an email back from a dude named App Xu all the way from Shanghai or Taiwan (who was obviously barely english literate) suggesting fixes for my problem that were either completely impossible, or ones that I had said I already tried. I replied calmly telling him (or her?) that I had tried everything suggested and it didn't work, and then shot off an email to the supplied address that he/she supplied saying they would arrange to have a specialist to work on my problems... It is now Feb. 20th and I haven't recieved any further correspondance from these asshats on the other side of the world and I am beginning to think I should just trash a really nice board. Anyone else have bad experience with this otherwise good company?

I'm not sure I've ever seen Asus' customer support bragged about. I do believe that's their weakest link.

I'm not sure a link even exists anymore, I would at least expect an automated email with a fake excuse of how busy the are or something....

I've been trying to build a new 'puter with the ASUS K8V-Deluxe, and I emailed them to try to get them to help me make sure all my parts are compatible. Havent heard back from them, and it doesnt look like I will. I still plan on buying the MoBo, but i hope it just doesnt crap out on me, or ill be SOL. also have the same problem with thermaltake. ive tried to contact them about a PSU, to see if it was compatible, because the description is confusing. I emailed two differnent people at Thermaltake, and no answer yet. They sure as hell arent making it easy for a first time builder :x

That and their website. It seems like every time I go to their site to download an updated bios, their friggin' page is having a difficulty of some sort. Usually database problems or bad coding.
Thankfully they have mirrors, as it's usually only the USA site. Global seems to work the best.

yeah, their tech support sucks. I got the K8V deluxe, and I got a gig of mushkin memory. Asus's site didn't list it as compatable, and their site sucks. I tried to update my bios after having problems, but you can't f*#king find them!
