Hi folks,

I am petitioning NewEgg to include a predicted arrival date in their shopping cart. Because their fine print reads that orders may take up to two days to process and that the date of shipment doesn't count toward transit-time, an overnight delivery may in fact take several days. What's worse, inquiries are not answered in a direct and honest manner which would allow a potential customer to cancel an order and shop elsewhere. Because this contrasts so sharply to competitors such as Amazon who clearly state when a product will arrive even before beginning the order process, I am petitioning NewEgg to change these behaviors.

You do not have to believe that NewEgg does a poor job to get behind this petition. I ask only for requesting more transparent disclosure. The problem is that the difference between predicted arrival and actual arrival can vary wildly.

Even worse is when it's a small item and the USPS has it!

I'm all for estimates, but I imagine they would end up padding it so much that you'd never get an accurate estimate.

If my orders ship from Tennessee they almost always arrive the next business day after shipping from the warehouse.

Amazon uses the same type of system. I've had a few shipments take longer than Amazon's estimated delivery (even when the items were listed as in stock).

i personally love Newegg and will always buy my equipment from there,and they use UPS for fast shipping! everything i have purchased from the egg has always been at my door step in record time...just my 2 cents worth.

while i have not had a negative experience with shipping from Newegg, the LA center(s) are always good and on time when using UPS. in my experience, i find that if i order something too early or too late in the day (after closing), my order takes significantly longer, almost 2 days before it even leaves the facilities. i usually aim to place orders around 10am - seems to be the sweet spot for placing and preparing orders to ship.

secret: order early CA. time. DONT need it overnite. If it's small from either facility, you are now at the mercy of UPS Mail Innovations (i.e. USPS)

And last but not least I draw upon the stellar service I have had through the years (RMA ,goofs, me etc.)

So now in these tough times & cost of shipping and their business model in general,

IT's UNDERSTANDABLE THEY JUST CAN"T KEEP GIVING THE FARM AWAY!

In Kansas, I always got my stuff in 2 days w/ 3 days shipping. In Houston, 2 days. In Tulsa, maybe 3 days. Chicago, 2 days. Must I go on? (I'm Johnny fucking Cash and lived everywhere, man) In San Diego, it's all been next day if before 1330. Why fight that?

There's been a rare chance that the item was in the New Jersey warehouse and took that full 3 days to ship...but that's what they promised dude. If anything has been late, torn up, etc...it's been far after the Newegg release of product on the dock.

Memory, USB, and other small parts can be shipped via US postal service and take a week once they get it. That's something you should consider too since you're paying twice for that piece of shit delivery system. Newegg has a great system, and I dare you to tour it. It's perfection!

Not Dog Pound worthy...just a poster not understanting how stuff works. It was free shipping, wasn't it? For $10 I'd deliver it next day...hahahaha

I've always been satisfied with newegg too. I always get my gear on the third day, unless I use eggsaver for free shipping. Even then it's only ever taken an extra day.

Judging by the number of sig's on that petition I'd say everybody else is pretty pleased too. Can't beat the egg!
