I bought a Plextor PX-712A in November and mailed in the rebate for $30. I liked it so much that I bought another one in December and mailed in another $30 rebate.

Today I got a postcard in the mail saying they are sorry, but they cannont honor dupicate rebate requests and call 1-800-EAT-SHIT is I have any questions.

Hello Dumbf#$%s! I mailed in two separate rebates with the ORIGINAL UPC labels containing two different Plextor SERIAL NUMBERS... and two DIFFERENT DATED purchase receipts!.

Tomorrow I will have to call and explain why they are too f$%^ing stupid to understand that. Grrrr!

The old one-rebate-per-household scam. I love it.

THis happened to me when I bought some DVD spindles. But I just had the rebates sent to different addresses, no problem.

Yeah I'll let them know tomorrow that my post cost them at least $30 in lost sales. Not that the prison inmates who process rebates will care.

You would think they'd still honor 1

They did honor the first one. It just pisses me off that they call the second one a "duplicate" even though it is a different serial number and receipt purchased a month later.
