I got a COOLMAX 400W CX-400B power supply with my last computer. I thought the 120mm fan would be nice and quiet, and it was. After being in my system for about 7 months the power supply died. So fine, dropped in my backup power supply and was back up in 5 minutes. So I went online and emailed their support about warranty options... That was about 2 months ago. Emailed them again a month ago and still nothing. Not even someone to say, "Sorry we only carry a 90 day warranty" or something like that. They have non-existant support!! Anyone else run into this? There is no number for me to call on their site (none I can find at least) so I am stuck with only email. I hate to have to eat my $45 for the PSU...

Did they recently change their website? I could have sworn it was laid out differently just a week or so ago, 'cause my Antec PSU died and I researched Coolmax for a replacement.
I can check my manual and see if they have a phone number.

Damn, just when I thought I found another good company, I find this out about their customer service.

I'm not sure if their site has changed or not. But they are supplying the same and only support: support@coolmaxusa.com

Does the MaximumPC watchdog look through these and do reasearch on some? If they do I would love to see them try to contact coolmax.

I dunno, but this isn't settling too good with me right now. I've had good luck with their PSU's thus far, but I'm not too happy hearing about their customer service. :(
I certainly hope they make good on the warranty.

The other thing with the warranty is that I could not find anywhere that stated an actual warranty. I guess I had just assumed 1 year :?

I'm not keeping my hopes up for them though.

I think you need to get The Dog in on this. I just looked around their site- there is nothing except email links. Another thing you can try is going to this page try looking for a phone number for one of the 4 listed as distributors. I just had an issue with Enermax, turns out they have distributors to handel doing the warrenties. It took me a month or so, cause like you, I emailed with no responce.

Email The Dog.

Is there an actual address listed anywhere?

No. :(
I certainly hope they work on this situation, 'cause I've been pretty happy with their PSU's thus far.
