I've put Samsung in the doghouse. I used to love their PC products, but I don't plan on buy anymore of them. Their customer support is horrible. Back in March I purchased two Samsung Lightscribe burners for an upgrade to my current system. The old Samsung Lightscribe burners I had were going to go into my spare box I was going to put all of my replaced parts into.
When I put the new drives into my machine, nothing happened. Windows would not recognize them, the BIOS would not recognize them. No matter what machine I put them into I could not get them to show up. It's been a few months since I had purchased them from NewEgg so there was no chance of going back to NewEgg for the dead drives.
I've been screwing around with Samsung support for over two weeks now. Their RMA form for Optical drives is not working. When I submit the form I get an error message that the "Page you requested is no longer available". Their chat support keeps telling me I need to call the 800 number. When I call the 800 number they tell me they can't help me either and that I need to contact the
www.samsungodd.com support. I did that two weeks ago and still have not gotten any email response from anyone. I tried calling back their support a few more times to try to get more information out of them, but they keep telling me that they have no way to contact anyone there. I'm so sick of this hassle. I think it may be time to get the BBB involved. I just want my dead drives replaced for warranty so I can move on with my PC build.
