I have a bone to pick with them!!! I just replaced all the case fans, about the middle of march, with theirs (Silenx Ixtrema 80mm) because they were silent and supposed to move a lot of air. Well today I was doing a video card upgrade, and 3 of the 4 fans the silicone rubber mounts just disintegrated when I moved my case, and now they are all making the bearing death noise. Never again will I buy your products! I could understand if 1 out of 4 failed, but 3 out of 4 that's a 75% fail rate.

I also have heard that they do not produce their rated CFM.

We will see, I had to take the side off my pretty Lian-Li case, and place a small fan next to it, till I can get to the store tomorrow and get some new fans. I can't let this thing be down over night and miss out on a day of folding.

I, too, fell victim to the Ixtrema fans. Although mine were the 120's not 80's.

I had ordered 10 of them, for two different computers. 3 arrived DOA, which the egg thankfully replaced immediately. I didn't have the problem you mention with the "quiet" mounts, but I did experience at a minum 50% failure within a couple months of use.

I am now using CM R4 series, and so far, quite happy with them.

I never even heard back from Silenx, sent them several emails asking for a RMA, nothing!!!
