After spending about five minutes this morning trying to update some account information on various websites, I've lately become very annoyed with the verification systems that websites use, like the CAPTCHA. Sometimes they aren't too bad, but I am a little visually impaired, and this can be a problem ,especially when they put some weird background behind the text.
I assume most people would agree that this is just a big annoyance. I understand these companies want to protect themselves from spam and whatever, but I think at the same time, they piss off people who maybe can't read the numbers well enough because of their poor design or implementation... I don't mind them in general, but PLEASE MAKE THEM READABLE (for the most part). Curved and slanted I don't mind, but the use of backgrounds often times makes it much harder for even humans to read!
