I don't know if this has been posted before but I noticed recently that two companies listed under different names and different reseller ratings are actually the same company. I am posting this because in the past companies that have done this only bad things have come of it. I'm not knocking these/this company but you gotta wonder why the same company would have two different names. If anyone knows why they have done this could they post it here please.

That makes sense and yes this is a dogpund posting, I meen you don't see BestBuy calling themselves Circut City. I would like to start ordering from this company but first I would like to know why they have two different names and the post seems to make sense. Another curious thing is Mwave and NewEgg people have always commented in the past how similar they are in practice and exucution, I don't see that mutch of a similarity myself.

bestbuy actually operates under (I think) 3 different names not counting best buy...I know they have a different name in canada and I think a different one on the northwest

when I worked at funcoland I actually worked at gamestop...just like the guys who worked at the software etc. in the mall...and the guys who worked at planet x in florida...and gamestop is actually just an arm of barnes and noble

companies do it all the time...if funcoland is making tons of money and software isnt, funcoland buys some of software's backstock to help cook the books...software gets an influx of profit, a loss of liability (warehousing, space costs) and funcoland puts it down as a capital investment...

this is how enron happened, and a LOT of companies do it...wal-mart= sam's club and so on

Well, your wrong on the funcoland deal. I worked for them when they first opened and I can tell you enequivcocally that this company started out having nothing to do with Gamestop. Funcoland was started as a small mom and pop shop in Minnesota and grew form there, and it was not until a few years ago that they were bought out by Barnes and Starbucks...aahh, I mean Noble.

I never said that funcoland was always gamestop...I'm sure the other companies were also independent at one time...much like with best buy and it's other names...

There's a camera shop onile, if you've ever researched camera prices, you'd see it come up (Buydig). You may also notice a place called Beach camera & one other name. They are all the same place. I never understood why such a reputable company (I've ordered from them) would do this. My guess was the different prices on each site. Some items are not the same price, so you may buy the camera cheaper, but the accessories will kill you.

Out of coincidence I was looking at some prices on Pricegrabber and Pricewatch and came across some reviews of this company and the name they used to use wich is COMPUBUZZ, wich was investigated for fraud and thought to have gone out of buisness for selling used stuff as new and a sh*tload of defective product. I knew my first reaction was the right one, avoid, avoid, avoid.
