I had a motherboard die on my some time ago. So I called asus to RMA my dead one. I filed for RMA the 10 of january. They received my board the 14th, and they are shipping the new one out today 2nd day delivery. I was afraid since everything said null, but I called, and they said it was a server issue. I know they replaced it because the invoice has a different serial number.

I've heard terrible things about Asus RMA, but I haven't had a single problem. It took them all of 3 days to turn it around.

Thank you Asus!

Asus has one hell of a long way to go before I'm convinced they've changed their long history of horrible customer service.

But I'm very glad you've had a good experience with them. 8)

On a related note, my Asus G50 lappy mobo died on me last month. I issued a RMA and few weeks later its up and running again. Only grief is it came not in the original box i sent it in but an older model one. It was a good experience all in all.

I had to RMA my Asus 9600GSO and it took me months. The website didn't always work, the contact forms on the site never worked. Emails I sent to them got bounced back. Phone numbers on the site didn't go anywhere. Eventually I found another number buried in the site, someone actually answered and everything was set up in a few minutes. Still not a fan, but I am loving my new EeePC so they aren't all bad.

Make that +2 mobo, +1 laptop, -1 video card.
And my parents got an Asus laptop after consulting me, they couldn't be happier with it. Fortunately, they haven't had to try out the customer service. :)
