Internet is a big world. Guess I missed this scam among all my readings.
Would like to share my experience with the program "Driver Detective" and the publisher Drivershq.

Downloaded and installed program to test it out because I was looking for automated process to find driver updates. First use exposed program as inadequate. It requires manual input to tell itself that it did what it does. Immediately uninstalled and requested refund through web-site.
Response to request for refund was attempt to troubleshoot program through tech support. Informed company I wasn't interested and restated request for refund. Response to that was link to videos on how to download and install drivers. Fairly insulting to very experienced PC HW fan. That's last I heard.

This morning called company (toll call). No chance to talk to person. All options redirect to web-site or voice-mail. Still trying to get refund.

wait, so you bought it, installed it, and didn't like it, and now want a refund? I don't understand how you're expecting a refund... you should have researched exactly what it does before buying it.

If it doesn't do what it claims to do, he is entitled to a refund.

That program CLEARLY does not do what it claims to do ... so I agree that he is entitled to a refund.

I hope he used a credit card .. the easiest and safest thing to do at this point is to have his credit card company charge back the cost of the program to the company.

They let us download and evaluate the Bloatware for FREE. There's nothing "automated" about it. Click, click, click, click...

They're not claiming much besides driver scanning and detection, as the name implies. I couldn't find "automated process" anywhere. I didn't spend much time looking either.

Its always more fun to read and ask about these things after $$$ has been wasted.

It always amazes me some assume that people should be satisfied with anything they buy.

I'm the original poster and the product doesn't act as advertised. It doesn't recognize the recommended drivers after you install rhem. Why should I keep a product that can't recognize the results of it's primary function.

It was clear after 1 use that the product wasn't satisfactory. Had to pay for product before could test full functionality.

Company refund policies cannot override federal and state laws regarding refunds.

Don't even get me started on lack of customer service by this company
