Ive been a MPC subscriber for a few years now and theres been numerous times where I needed to fine something that was covered in an older issue that I cant for the life of me remember.

Ive always wanted to take the time to put together my own little database that has keywords referrenced to issue, page num, etc. Then I found out that PC Magazine (I think.. could have been another PC related magazine) has electronic versions of their issues available online for subscribers only and thought what an awesome feature this would be for MPC.

A searchable online MPC database? Jesus would this save me tons of time searching through pages upon pages of MPC goodness.

Just a thought....

This has been asked and addressed before. Basically MPC wants you to do it for them :|

Have them send me their data files. I'll do it. Its not rocket science.

Exactly... obviously they have electronic versions kicking around, whether it be a doc or in a database already... Seems kinda pointless for someone to have to re-type all of the Maximum PC articles (let alone would probably violate copyright law) if theyve already got it.

Building a search tool around the data would be easy and Im sure half of the forum members could easily do it.

Them keeping the data files is not that obvious. That may be why it isn't being done.
