I get why you chose the EVGA 680i mobo for Dream Machine 2007. But why didn't the EVGA 680i mobo make the "Socket 775" Best of the Best list on page 67? If it doesn't belong there why use it for Dream Machine 2007? If it doesn't deserve making the Best of the Best list, why not use the ASUS Striker Extreme in the Dream Machine 2007?

Also, what model# EVGA 680i mobo was used? (122-CK-NF68-A1?)

They mentioned that the striker extreme wasn't able to overclock as high as the 680i, and I also believe that they mentioned it being the A1 version.

Overclocking took a priority for the Dream Machine. I also considered updating the Best of the Best, but I think the majority of people do not actually intend to overclock and the features of the Striker (more SATA ports, etc) tends to make it a better choice. Both boards have actually received the verdicts from the magazine.

Dave is the water cooling man and handled the components. I'll ask him to reply here. The radiator is mounted in the case directly above the motherboard.

Kortik -- answered that in the other thread you posted in.
