I bought this November issue for the airplane return to Phoenix. Well, this issue was, in my opinion, extremely disappointing and partly due to the 16 page ad in the middle of the magazine for 1&1. I was thinking to myself, why the hell did MPC put a 16 page CONTINUOUS advertisement for them?

So, I went through the magazine and counted the pages for articles and ads. I counted them three times each to make sure my counts were at least 90% accurate (which they might be within 1-2 pages...I live with 3 roommates so I got distracted a few times). Look at the count (front and back page were not counted):

56 pages of Readable Articles
79 pages of Ads (MPC's werent included)

Wow. Advertisements OUTNUMBERED the articles by over 20. Every 1.7 pages was an article...geesh

It is getting a little ridiculous (note that it is spelled correctly) and I must say, MPC you did a shitty (excuse the language) job this month. Good articles, but it was completely overshadowed by the outstanding number of pages (and including the 16 page continuous one...wow).

IMO, MaximumPC is loosing the MinimumBS subtitle and gaining the MaximumADWhore subtitle.

I assume this is the same for this magazine too, but for other mags, the more AD's = more money for more articles.
