I read the thread about Free games, and for those of us on dial up (all 14 of us), maybe some of those freebies could be included on a cd? This would be very helpful, because I'm unable to leave my internet connection running for this long.

Its what you get stuck with when the suits that run broadband services don't see that they can make a couple megabucks in six months from your area. :(

I'm just so god damn fed up with this dial up, when I go to play CS, my ping is 4095 and I overflow automatically. Can't play any games online. Period. An mp3 takes 20 minutes to download. God damn you cable companies, get your asses out to where I am!!! (Maryland).

PS: Is there any way i can get my v.92 56k modem to go faster than 26kbps on this shitty MSN?

There are game demos on each CD, but we are explicity forbidden from distributing "free" games on the CDs, as well as full-games (not that one would fit on a CD anyway).

What about freeware games with the author's permission? You can't even do it then? Ouch, that's harsh.

We could probably do freeware game with permission, but we can't advertise it as "free" since people are paying for it. Also, there's a regulation somewhere that prevents us from distributing full-version games with the magazine.

The special issues are another story though, as we just shipped a full-version on the Gaming Special DVD.
