Now I just bought this magazine, and I was trying to use the Maximum DVD. I just tried putting it in our NEC DVD+RW ND-3100AD. (which we just recieved our new computer last week)

P4 3Ghz
120gb HD
geforce6800 GTO
512 ddr dual chan ram
(integrated) SoundMax soundcard

Now, I have a subscription to PCGamer, and I understand that a lot of it's users have issues with it's CD's (and the DVD they released last year) I'm wondering if this is true for MaximumPC.

What happens is I load the DVD, I don't get a "Pop-Up" application or anything.

I try to look at the properties of the DVD.
Size=0kb
I right-click==>explore and when I try and load up anything it either, doesn't respond (causeing the whole Explorer[desktop] to refresh) or it gives me an "Not a valid Win32 Application" any idea's as to why this is happening, I have latest drivers etc. It's just driving me insane because I'd like to use the plethora of content described on the insert -_-

Sounds like you got a defective DVD.

If you email dischelp@maximumpc.com Josh will shoot you a new disk out.

Well I didn't feel this topic was imperative enough to start a new one, so I'll just say it here. I just got my Nov 04 Maximum PC Magazine in, without a disc, while I subscribed yearly to the magazine itself along with the attached disc. Any ideas why?
