Does anyone know what the idle and load temperatures were on the Dream Machine in the sept. issue? What is normal lga 775 idle and load temp.

I'm asking because I have the same motherboard and the thermaltake jungle 512 fan in a chieftec dragon tower with five case fans not including the two on the power supply to cool off my 2.8Ghz pentium lga 775 cpu

my idle temp is 48-50 deg C My load temp gets as high as 71.

I have been able to overclock to 3.65Ghz but I don't keep it there because temp is already high at normal cpu speed.

I don't know what Intels suggested temp rating is for th 2.8GHz lga, but I have a 3.6GHz lga - same as the DM2004, and it's running on the same mobo as the DM - an Asus P5AD2 premium.

I think Intels avg temp rating for the 3.6 is 68 deg. C.

I just got it up and running four days ago, so the Arctic Silver 5 hasn't had a chance to really settle in yet. The first hour of the first day I had it running the idle temp was at 72C which kind of had me worried, but by the end of day one, the idle temp was down to 68C. Now after four days the idle is at 62C and I can barely get it over 68C when I'm pushing it. The silver 5 is supposed to take 200 hours to completely settle in. When the time is up I want to find out how far I can OC it on air cooling alone.

I have been hearing that normal stable operating range for lga 775 is 65-75 deg C depending on my room temp I idle between 46-52 deg C . When I play games I sometimes get up to 72 deg C
