Now that BAWLS isn't sponsoring it anymore shouldn't MaxPC find someone new to give away prizes? Maybe get nvidia or ati to fork over a few vid cards or something?

I hope the winner atleast gets a MaxPC tshirt.

They should give something away. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to get a sponsor to pimp thier products at cost for advertising.

Like :

"Rig of the Month Sponsored By nVidia" right accross the top in big letters.

or ATI or coolance or whoever (heheheh - PC World :> )

Oh yeah, I can see that going over real well.
More fuel to the fire of being biased.
That's the problem with remaining unbiased, trying to find sponsers that sell a variety of products and not being brand specific.

It's a shame they can't get Newegg!

A retailer giving out a gift certificate would be ideal. Give the retailer permission to advertise they are doing it - and give them pleanty of plug space in the article

Curcuit City
Newegg
Best Buy
even amazon

it doesn't really matter if the winner likes those places - they can find 500-1000 in toys at any of them.

PC Club even

anything
