It seems like you guys build a new computer every month. Usually it's a pretty killer rig, maybe not DM'04 killer, but pretty sweet nonetheless. So it occured to me one day that that's an awful lot of computers to build without giving them a home. So what do you guys do with all the computers you build for the mag?

*edit to say*
If you've got any computers that need a home, I adopt.

We usually break them down and just store the parts for future usage. The Dream Machine is still in one piece though, sans hard drives and displays 8)

Those commies are folding at home like a mofo out of bestbuy.

Note to self: Best Buy owe me 10 dollars for the advertisement I just gave. Check.

Aw heck, Best Buy owes the whole world a big ol' apology, period.

Folding... Hmmm... I did that seti@home thing for a while but, when the aliens showed up and yelled at me to "Stop sending them spam or they'd hit me with a major DoS attack" I had to quit.

I know this dude, smart as a mofo, but has no common sense. He always got to get the latest and greatest stuffs and fold@home. He would set things up and watch other people pull up his PCs juice to do work. Some people get credit and pay while he's stick with those big utilities bill. He sounds like those suckers that Gate took to the cleaners; "intellectual property" is a freaking joke since MS doesn't have one.

Just to clarify things, MPC stores or ships back all parts and PC's. That or the editors get to "share" them as they did when the voodoo's were the latest and greatest.

Nothing is given away. The reason behind this is they never know when they will need to whip out a part and test it with some other/config.

How about donating it to the make a wish foundation for a kid, or anyone that wanted a nice computer that would never see such a beast? That would be nice..

On the gray it's almost unreadable. Remember, some of us are old farts with poor eyesight.

To me, it looks like this would to you most likely.

can you read this?
