I like to buy a barebone system from them to run Linux Enterprise. I got all the spec down and the cost came out to be 800 US pesos, which is pretty good. I like the aluminum case with thermal reading and all the hot color.

Since I pick decent parts to buy, I wonder if this site is very trustworthy. I got the idea of buying here from reading my subscription. The offer is too good to pass up. The computer will add a lot of character to my home office and will match my TV and surround sound (fireball with blue lighting). The reason I want to know if this site is 100% because the last place I called up to buy a laptop, some guy pick up the phone and start cursing in Chinese as if he was in the middle of a argument at home and just let that trail off to whoever on the phone and next door.

Thanks for any tip. Dell got a sale going on and I know I'd get what I pay for, but Dell has ugly tower comparing to this shiny beast.

I'd be more inclined to check out IBuyPower. In any event, keep ResellerRatings on your favorites as you check out potential vendors:

I haven't really buy anything online before, especially for computers. Walmart and Costco got just about everything I need and no one should buy clothes online unless they don't plan to go out much.

Thank for the rating site. I assume 7 is bad, as in D or C- bad. I checked out its site and the funny thing is the the URL is actually cyberpowersystem.com even though the ads clearly indicates cyberpowerinc.com. Anyway, they have pretty nice looking systems that come MS free.

Thanks again amigo.

I've ordered from Cyber Power last year. A friend wanted a gaming rig for her 11 year old son. For about a month I played with Cyber Power & I Buy Power's free shipping systems until we found one that suited his needs. What was the final decision was the monitor offered between 1 system at each site. Cyber Power had a 19 inch View Sonic monitor which matched her silver system.

Here's his rig:

AMD ATHLON XP-2500 OEM
MAXTOR 80GB 7200RPM ATA133 HD
512MB PC3200 PC400 DDR x2
AMD ATHLON CPU FAN XP-3200+ w/extra CASE FAN
ABIT NF7-S NFORCE-2 MB W/ SATA
EVGA GEFORCE FX 5200 128MB DDR
SILVER 16X DVD ROM
CREATIVE LAB SB LIVE 5.1 OEM
WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION
SILVER X-SUPER ALIEN WINDOW 425 WAT
SILVER COLOR PS2 KEYBOARD
SILVER COLOR PS2 INTERNET MOUSE
SPEAKER 600WATT PMPO W/ SUBWOOFER
STANDARD WARRENTY
MICROSOFT WORKS 7.0
NORTON ANTI VIRUS 2003
VIEWSONIC 19" Monitor E90F+SB .22 SILVER/BLACK
RED COLD CATHLOD 12" NEON LIGHT
LUCENT V.92 PCI MODEM
----------------------------------------------
Subtotal $1059.25
Shipping 0.00
Tax 0.00
Total $1059.25

The ordering experience was good. Since it was an Xmas gift, she wanted it shipped to my house. Cyber Power had her fill out a paper, which we emailed back & it was on it's way. About the only issue they've had with it was trojans (mom & son have never been online) so I restored it back to factory. While doing so I got an error & had to call CP to see what was wrong. About the only P.I.T.A. was their hours of operation, they are not 24/7. Once I got through to them, I was told to take a stick of ram out, which worked. Once it was restored, the ram went back in- all was fine. We also had an issue with the sound card. I ended up taking it out (the kid can not go without his rig) the integrated sound works fine, so we left the card out. I never called CP about this issue, who knows it may be something stupid.

Would I do business with them again- yes (if I didn't start building my own)
Do I recommend them- yes.

Go to both sites & learn how to work the free shipping configurator until you find a system that meets your needs. Shipping is not cheap, so free shipping was high on our list.

HTH

Cooler Master Wave Master
Gigabyte GA-7NNXP
Athlon Barton 3200
1536 mb PC3200 ram
BFG GeForce FX 5900XT OC 128MB DDR

80, 120 & 160 hard drives
