Many old skoolers are in here now. They're posting in top secret areas of the forum, but are mearly lurking the rest. Some pop their head out once in a while, but we generally leave the ancients to do as they please. They need their energy for the second comming.

What's old skool anyway? Anyone prior to 2000 fits the bill IMO! (that way I can be "old skool")

I'm not an old 'skool' Delphi forumer, but am old skool as far as the mag. There was a 2001' year issue with a K7 Soyo Dragon plus DIY guide that used for my system at that time. That was a classic issue to me.

I'd put my old BBS up if I felt it would be worth the effort of somehow making the internet look like something the front end could handle. And, of course, the effort of running a board again. That was almost a 2nd full time job. :)

What software did you use? I was one of the authors of Telegard, ever mess with that? The code got leaked and then they put a redo of it out as Renegade. But dang, I miss FoReM BBs, (Atari 8 bit). :)

I still have COBOL bluebar paper and FORTRAN greenbar. Back then, the programmers were real - none of this nambie pamby "visual" stuff the kids have these days.

Visual FORTRAN sounds just plain wrong.

Real programmers use vi or pico. :)
