I have not received my Maximum PC subscription for four months now (May, June, July and August issues.) I have contact customer support and they confirmed my subscription is current (paid up through August 2014) and they sent me the June and July issues again which I received. When I last contacted customer support about my August issue not arriving, they mentioned the following:

Quote:
We have heard from many subscribers in California that they have not received their recent issues. While we are fully supporting the Postal Service's efforts to evaluate and finalize a solution to the situation, they cannot currently ensure timely delivery to all subscribers.

Can someone tell us exactly what is going on with subscribers in California?

I was told by customer support to simply go and buy the magazine at the newsstand. Well, I have a problem with that since I'm paid up through August 2014 and I paid to have the magazine delivered to my door. Why would I go pay $7.99+tax again for something I already paid for and didn't receive? That is not a good solution to me.

If Maximum PC knows there is an issue with California subscribers, why don't you offer the digital editions for free until you resolve whatever issue is causing us to no receive our issues in the mail?

I'd like an official response and explanation please.

I am in California (San Bernardino area). I have been having trouble with my subscription as well. I missed May/June/July issues, Had to buy them myself. Back in june when I contacted CS, they didn't mention anything specific about mailing issues to CA. September 2012 arrived in my box as normal, But have yet to receive October 2012. I just emailed CS again, let's see what they say when they email me back after the weekend. My subscription is paid up until middle of 2014. I have the issues sent to my PO box at the post office instead of my apartment mail box. This is really getting frustrating. When I contacted them before, they just extended my subscription a month for each missed issue. That doesn't do any good if I can't get the damn issues. I have been subscribing for over 10 years and no problems until now. If it continues, I might cancel and ask for a refund. If they tell me it's a problem with the Post Office, I think I will talk to them to see what they say...

I've been a subscriber since 2005 and not had an issue receiving issues until May. They did the same thing by extending my subscription by a month (which did me no good either since I can't receive the issues.)

They told me it was the post office having problems delivering magazines. We'll that simply isn't true as my family receives 10+ magazines per month with no problems.

I finally talked to a supervisor at the publisher and she talked to 'home office' to find out what is going on. The official response was 'they still don't know' and the only thing they suggest is to refund my subscription.

I can't believe in today's world of electronic media that a magazine publisher (who's business relies on periodicals being delivered in the mail) would let a known issue that is impacting customers in California go on for more than four months! After four months their only response is to refund my subscription!

That response speaks volumes about how they value their future business and where they think their print media business is heading.

I asked for a refund. They just lost a loyal customer since 2005 and a customer who had paid in advance for another 2 years.

Stupid business model and amazing lack of customer care by MaximumPC. They should be ashamed.
