Hello All,

Love the Mag!

What I really want to pay for is a PDF subscription to MaximumPC. I don't want a reader edition... I want the current mag in the same format as I find on the PDF archives here.

Is such a thing available?

Thanks,
R

So is this not possible or did I post in the wrong place?

I want this, too. I love the PDF archives that you already have and am willing to pay for an up-to-date subscription to that. I'm glad to know that there are at least e-reader versions, but I'm not an avid reader, so I'd really rather not buy one of those devices. And the PDFs are so much better for archival and searching. So have the suits at Future give it some thought, eh?

Won't happen! Advertisers keep the mag afloat they won't pay for space in a pdf form. It's bad practise and a piss-poor advertising ROI strategy. CPU Magazine went this route a few years ago and readership quickly shriveled and died. Now all they amount to is hack journalism of gloried vendor product reviews. For that junk, I'll just stick with Tom and Anandtech.

Hmmmmm....

My Scientific American PDF has advertisements just like the print copy.

Request for Maximum PC in the same format re-submitted! :-)

I'll look into it but I think our publishers prefer to use the existing digital newsstands. I'll see if I can make a case for a PDF subscription, but I think they'll see the lack of DRM as a negative.
