Copy the entire dir instead... then reinstall the current client over the top of it. I have done this many times and it has worked everytime...


1. you keep all the settings and categories in the install. if you do it your way, you are starting from scratch.

2. Very quick. I can reinstall 1.4TB of games in about 6 hours from backup... That includes reinstalling the client.

Location: A place not actively occupied by something else.
But who (realistically) has a 2tb or a 1.5tb external drive? The version in the issue is perfect for those of us who don't have that much room to work with.
