It's been a year since Maximum Tech was launched but there is still no way to subscribe. I like the magazine, but having to remember to actively seek it out every couple months is a PITA. Plus the $10/ea newsstand price is a bit high. Any news on when/if Maximum Tech is going to start offering a subscription?

Also I just pre-ordered an Amazon Fire. Any news on whether or not Maximum PC or Maximum Tech will be available as digital editions on it?

Dan

Unfortunately, the parent company has decided to fold Maximum Tech back into the Maximum PC brand. This means you will not be able to subscribe to Maximum Tech, and it will no longer be on newsstands after the issue that is currently on newsstands goes off sale.

There will be a Kindle edition of Maximum PC available starting in mid-November. The Nook Color version is available now, and Maximum PC will also be available on another platform starting (I believe) next week.

Thanks for the info. My subscription to the paper version of Maximum PC expires next month. I'll probably just let that lapse and start up with the Kindle version when I receive my new Fire.

As for Maximum Tech... That sucks, it was a good magazine. I wonder if it would have had more success if you'd have offered a subscription option from the start? Oh well.

Thanks again,
Dan

Will there ever be a Kobo edition, or an epub edition I can transfer over to my device?

We're working on figuring that out. Our parent company is focusing on the major platforms first (because the greatest potential success is there) but I'm trying to figure out a way to do an epub version as well. It may end up being the same as the PDFs--free, just time-delayed.
