Your August issue contains a feature article about a wonderful-looking program called DocShield. But the website you cite for download is gone, and a Web search just turns up some download sites that I don't trust. Do you have a legitimate source for this program? Thanks!

The first search option I get is Cnet's download.com:

http://download.cnet.com/DocShield/3000-2242_4-10755011.html

It's a safe site but it may try to get you install some added toolbars, etc. When you install, just read each option carefully (and unclick every option). In some cases (usually on the left side), there's a "grayed out" Decline button - if you see it, click it (it appears grayed out so that you don't think it's an option, but it is).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that info. I may get up my courage and try it. I got really burned once downloading a program from one of those sites. I must have missed something, or it was a crooked site, because before I got to download the program I wanted it had installed a bunch of crap that was a real pain to remove. But if you give cnet your stamp of approval, I'm encouraged.

I just remembered, MPC had an article about safe downloading:

http://www.maximumpc.com/article/news/how_to_download_2013

Now you should be able to download in safety (and style!)

Hope this helps.
