I read the featured article for the December issue with great passion. *Fight Malware*, What
I hadn't seen, and works GREAT, and it is free!! is NPE Nortons Power Eraser.
This is really surprising to me, because MPC gives Norton/Symantec products (Applications) good scores. I would really like MPC to do the same test I had done with 3 highly infested system. The
test that I had done was on the 3 was to run Malware Antibytes, then follow it up with NPE, Malware Antibytes picked up about 72% of the infections, and NPE caught another 9% of the infections. (Note: This is averaged off of all 3 systems used in this endeavor.) There by giving an average total of 3, 81%
cleaned systems. I know it is impossible to have a 100% cleaned PC that you connect to the internet.
WHAT surprises me is, that malware can be created, and it even can get passed firewall(s), and passed protected computers. I think MPC should run this test on their own test bed(s) and give us a overall
view to their finding as well.
