Does anyone remember the article where the author talked about a thirteen year copyright term limit? Supposedly, it was the original plan before the rules changed after the Articles of Confederation. I think it was probably Quinn Norton that proposed it, but I've looked through every article she wrote for MaximumPC and I can't find it. Maybe it was Thomas McDonald or Tom Halfhill. I remember the phrasing somewhere in it like "looks like the founding fathers were right after all." I'm trying to write an essay on short copyright limits.
